Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the DANA Film Festival website and services, including film submissions, delegate passes, memberships, donations, and any related purchases (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing the website or completing a transaction, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian, to purchase passes, submit a film, or make a donation. You are responsible for providing accurate information and for any activity carried out under your submission or account.

By submitting a film you confirm that you hold the necessary rights to the work and all its elements (including music, footage, and likenesses). Submission fees, where applicable, cover the cost of processing and reviewing your entry. Acceptance into the festival programme is at the sole discretion of DANA Film Festival and is not guaranteed by payment of a submission fee.

Payments for passes, submissions, memberships, and donations are processed securely through our third-party payment providers (Razorpay and Stripe). All prices are shown at checkout and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We do not store your full card details on our servers.

You may request cancellation of an order before the relevant service has been rendered or the event has taken place, subject to the conditions below:

• Delegate passes & tickets: may be cancelled up to 14 days before the festival start date (19 March 2027). Cancellations requested within 14 days of the festival are treated on a case-by-case basis.
• Film submissions: once a submission has entered the review process it cannot be cancelled, as the associated work has already begun.
• Memberships: may be cancelled at any time; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current membership term.
• Donations: voluntary donations are generally non-cancellable once completed. If a donation was made in error, contact us within 48 hours.

Where a cancellation is approved under Section 5, refunds are handled as follows:

• Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout.
• Once approved, refunds are processed within 7–10 business days. The time for the amount to appear in your account depends on your bank or card issuer.
• Film submission fees are non-refundable once the entry has entered the review process, regardless of the selection outcome.
• Voluntary donations are non-refundable except where made in error and reported within 48 hours.
• If the festival, or a paid event within it, is cancelled by the organisers, affected ticket and pass holders will be offered a full refund or a transfer to a future edition.

You agree not to misuse the Services, including by attempting to gain unauthorised access, submitting unlawful or infringing content, or interfering with the operation of the website. We reserve the right to suspend access or reject submissions that violate these Terms.

All website content, branding, and materials created by DANA Film Festival remain our property or that of our licensors. You retain ownership of the films and materials you submit, and grant us a limited licence to use them for the purposes of reviewing, promoting, and screening your entry in connection with the festival.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DANA Film Festival shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
